Query #418 – Looking for info on John Hull (Holl); married Maria Wolfe 29 Aug 1803: I have the Family sheet for same John Hull, file number 4327. Looking for more info as identified in the Notes. Bible records if possible from Hannah (Daughter) who m. George Aumock. Any information with the Deed mentioned in Will of father Andrew Hull.
Pictures of the family graves at Silver Run Cemetery in Carroll Co., MD are nice. Any additional info on this line would be appreciated.
I seem to be stuck getting hard data on the connection to this John Hull from either the immigrant side or the descendant side. Josiah Hull, who married Mary Leith, is the son of this John Hull.

Query #417 – Rachel Hull married John Dennis, resided Middlesex Co., NJ; want to determine her parents: I have ancestors that follow from a line of original Quaker settlers of the Penn Colony of Philadelphia area. My 6th great grandfather is a Joseph Dennis who appears to come from the Middlesex, NJ area before moving to the Philadelphia area. A book of Quaker ancestry connects this Joseph Dennis with the Hull family, stating that Rachel Hull, who married a John Dennis, as Joseph’s mother. If this is correct, Rachel’s father was Benjamin Hull, son of Hopewell Hull, son of Rev. Joseph Hull, who organized the immigration of the Hull Colony to the Massachusetts Bay Colony, as I read the source. The source did indicate that there were a number of Dennises in the Middlesex, NJ area and that while evidence was most positive about this Joseph Dennis connection, it might be in error. Any confirmation or correction is appreciated. If there is no connection, I am not a Hull! If so, count me in!

Query #413 – Searching for info on Jesse Hull and Helen Bosworth, Meigs Co., OH, Pike Co., IL: Benjamin P. Hull and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick are my 3x great grandparents. I’ve seen that Benjamin’s parents were Jesse Hull and Helen Bosworth but I can’t find much about them. All I can find is a marriage record from Miegs, Ohio. And Jesse’s Civil War discharge in Pike County Illinois. Can you tell me where they died and where they are buried? I would also like any other records you may have on them. Helen Bosworth is a direct descendant of six of the Mayflower passengers. I descend from Jesse’s son, Benjamin P. Hull and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick, who are my 3x great grandparents.

Our references may not be positive proof that Samuel Hull is the father of Chester, but they will give you clues to follow up on.  Query #405 – 3rd Gt Grandparent John Hull; m. Hannah Hermance: John Hull is my brick wall. A biography of his grandson says that John Hull was a “New Englander” (CT?). He married Hannah Hermance from Dutchess Co., NY. A family story says that he died before his son Samuel Hull was born (1799). According to information on NY State census, son Samuel was born in Albany Co., NY, although he was baptized at age 13 in Dutchess Co., NY. There are so many John Hulls born in New England. If I could find a marriage record in Dutchess Co., NY, it would be a start.

The “Common Errors in the Rev. Joseph Hull Line” document states that Charles Hull, HFAm #1831s, is really the son of Phineas Hull and Mary Wolverton and that Phineas is the son of Meshack Hull and Elizabeth (Manning) Dunn but I am not clear who Meshack’s father is.
